The Iron Acton Battery Storage project is located in South Gloucestershire. The project assists South Gloucestershire Council in meeting its renewable energy targets, as well as providing secure and stable energy supply to the local network during times when renewable energy sources are inconsistent. It can provide grid stability for 100,000 homes and will reduce carbon footprint by 5,000 tonnes per year. It will deliver a biodiversity net gain of over 19% in habitat units and over 111% in hedgerow units.
